Hey there! Jessica here. As the founder of KidFriendlyStays.com, can I start with a *big* thank you for simply popping by this site? This little corner of the web has been a labor of love, and I’m thrilled to have it live and available for you now, in hopes that I can make your life just a bit easier, and adventure, just a bit more accessible.
Traveling with kids in tow – especially small children – can seem like a daunting feat. I know this firsthand. For eight months, my family and I slow traveled full time, traversing 14 countries with a then infant and toddler, as a part of a family gap year that my husband and I took in 2023. And while the flights, ferries and footsteps were sometimes trying within themselves, the biggest struggle I encountered was in what I thought would be the easy part: researching and planning. (You can see a bit more of our story covered in this CBS Detroit TV segment.)
That time-sucking obstacle, which often included crazy tactics like endless Airbnb filtering and scrolling, falling down Instagram wormholes, and scanning review after review after review, led me to create this website. I wanted to deliver a simple and seamless resource that everyday folks could reference when dreaming up their next family adventure.
Whether you’re looking for an all-inclusive getaway that caters to grown ups and kids alike, or a cozy Airbnb with a playroom and crib, we’ve got you covered – with first-hand reviews to ensure you know exactly what to expect. So, please, grab a cup of coffee or pour a glass of wine and settle in. The hardest part now will be whittling down your wish list.
