Wings Neck Lighthouse in Cape Cod

LOCATION: Pocasset, Massachusetts, United States

GUESTS: Up to 8

BEDROOMS: 3+ Bedrooms

PRICE:  $$$$ (Rates generally start above $700)

Talk about a memorable stay. This historic lighthouse, once operated by the U.S. Coast Guard, has now been renovated and made available for rentals by the week (and occasionally, a weekend during the off season). It’s a steep price point ranging from $600-$1,000 per night, but for maritime lovers, it’s the chance to live the life of a lighthouse keeper. Expansive Atlantic Ocean views included. You’ll enter the light tower through a breezeway attached to the family room and climb a mahogany spiral staircase to the top. You can see all of our recommended historic stays with kids here.

Three bedrooms offer a queen and two sets of single beds, while a pull-out sofa can accommodate two more. (Note that you’ll need to bring your own linens.) A kitchen, full bath and outdoor shower are convenient, but the private beach is a real treat. Beach toys and towels are available at the home.
